The Town of Lovettsville is located in northern Loudoun County, just two miles south of the Potomac River. Lovettsville has been a thriving small community since it was originally settled by German immigrants in the 1730s. Today, Lovettsville is known for its small town character, as it blends centuries of history with an exciting future.

TOWN SERVICE REQUESTS AND AFTER HOURS EMERGENCIES
For after hours service requests and water/sewer emergencies, please fill out an online service request form by clicking: http://goo.gl/forms/MpriSyiee7, or call 540-822-0155. This phone number will immediately send a voice mail message and text message to a Town representative who will respond to your request as soon as possible.
For all other emergencies, please call 911.

Town Council and Planning Commission meetings are now available through our new video/audio platform! This new platform provides:
- Access to the meeting agenda and related documents (generally the Friday prior to the meeting).
- Access to recorded meetings and live streaming of meetings (starting in August).
- Links on the agenda to allow for easy navigation to a particular agenda item.
- Search capabilities.

2017 Summer on the Green!
Join your family, friends, and neighbors at the Walker Pavilion this summer for our FREE movies and concerts! Grab a bite to eat at one of Lovettsville's great restaurants or bring a blanket/chairs and picnic on the Town Green before the show. Many thanks to Karen Cooper Realtor for sponsoring our movies and to 7-Eleven for sponsoring our concerts! All events are on Saturday evenings. The 2017 Summer on the Green includes:

New Office Hours - Beginning Wednesday, May 10
Lovettsville Town Hall will be closed to the public on Wednesdays, except by appointment. You can still make a payment by leaving it in the drop box on the front door. The office hours the rest of the week remain unchanged – 8:30AM to 4:30PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Town of Lovettsville - Requesting Public Records
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), located § 2.2-3700 et seq. of the Code of
Virginia, guarantees citizens of the Commonwealth and representatives of the
media access to public records held by public bodies, public officials, and
record is any writing or recording - regardless of whether it is a paper
record, an electronic file, an audio or video recording, or any other format -
that is prepared or owned by, or in the possession of a public body or its
officers, employees, or agents in the transaction of public business. All public records are presumed to be open,
and may only be withheld if a specific, statutory exemption applies.
of FOIA states that the purpose of FOIA is to promote an increased awareness by
all persons of governmental activities. In
furthering this policy, FOIA requires that the law be interpreted liberally, in
favor of access, and that any exemption allowing public records to be withheld
must be interpreted narrowly.

2017 Legislative Agenda
The 2017 Lovettsville Legislative Agenda will be an action item at our next Town Council meeting (Thursday, November 3, 2016). At this meeting, the Council will examine five proposed topics for adoption including: Development of an Economic Development Authority, increasing the Street Ownership and Maintenance Population Threshold, and support for Revenue Sharing Reform. Envision LOUDOUN - Our County, Our Future
Envision LOUDOUN is an 18-month initiative being conducted by Loudoun County Government that will have a lasting impact on the Loudoun community, helping to promote a continued high quality of life in the county.
The process addresses growth, land use, transportation, community facilities and amenities, economic development, and fiscal management. You can participate by sharing your thoughts through a broad range of community engagement opportunities. Envision LOUDOUN will result in a New Comprehensive Plan that will serve as Loudoun County government’s guiding document for land use and development for the foreseeable future.
The first step in the community engagement process will include a series of "listening and learning" workshops throughout the county in November. Join others who care about the future of Loudoun and share ideas through fun, interactive activities in a casual, small-group setting.
