Two Town Council Special Meetings for the Town Charter Revisions: January 10, 2022

At the Town Council Meeting of January 6, 2022, Town Council voted to hold two Special Meetings on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 7:30pm and 9pm (or 90 minutes after the first special meeting) regarding the Town Charter Amendments and Revisions. Public Comment will be received at the meeting regarding the Town Charter Amendments and Revisions. The meeting will be held at the Town Council Chambers.

From the Mayor’s Newsletter, Purpose and Schedule of Special Meetings:
The first meeting starting at 7:30PM, is to discuss the latest version of the Town Charter and receive public input.  The second meeting that night will follow 60 minutes after the first.  The second meeting is to approve the 7:30PM meeting minutes, and if the Charter is passed at the previous meeting, prepare the packet to be sent to the General Assembly.  The two special meetings are required to meet the General Assembly’s post filing deadline.  To have the possibility of including the Town’s Charter in the General Assembly’s legislative agenda, they have to receive the packet on January 11^th.  If you are interested in reviewing the Charter changes, you can see them on our AV Capture Solution.
