The Town of Lovettsville hosts many great events throughout the year. All of our events are FREE and our dedicated events committees and wonderful volunteers work year-round to make these events so successful.

2023 Dates:

Eggstravaganza (April 1st)

Eggstravaganza is a gigantic egg hunt hosted by the Lovettsville-Waterford Ruritans in partnership with the Town. The event is held on the Town Green (11 Spring Farm Drive) and features more than 5,000 Easter eggs, as well as crafts and games for children.

Arbor Day (April 28th)

Lovettsville Oktoberfest (September 22nd-23rd)

Listed as one of the Best Oktoberfests in the World – 2018 Top Events and 2023 Best of Loudoun Award Winner, Lovettsville Oktoberfest brings in more than 12,000 visitors annually – locally, nationally, and internationally!  Free activities for children and adults include wiener dog races, stein hauling and stein hoisting contests, singing (our annual attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the Largest Simultaneous Sing-A-Long, One Venue), dancing, Vendor Village with over 80 vendors including local breweries and vineyards, great bands, and other entertainment. There is also a great variety of delicious traditional food and beer from vendors and local restaurants.

Veterans Day Ceremony (November 11th)

WintertainmentFest (December)

Start the holidays off right by attending WintertainmentFest! Following the lantern procession from the Lovettsville Community Center down East Broad Way, join us on the Town Square (1 West Broad Way) for vintage Christmas movies, a performance by the Lovettsville Elementary School chorus, a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas, and the lighting of the Christmas Tree.

Light Up Lovettsville (December)

Light Up Lovettsville is an opportunity to enjoy holiday decorations throughout the Town, with prizes offered for the Best Theme, Most Outrageous, Most Traditional, Best NEW Winner, Best Street, Best in Show, and Business with the Most Holiday Spirit.

Berserkle on the Squirkle (January 1st)

Lovettsville, the Town that put U in Quirky, brings you another of its fun and unique events, Berserkle On The Squirkle! This is a 5K Family Fun Run that is done completely in the Town Square (1 West Broad Way) on New Year’s Day. Join us for 27 laps of pain (or rather fun and silliness) where you can ring in the New Year with other Lovettsvillians! We’re not keeping time…no prize for the fastest runner. This will be a chance to celebrate the ringing in of the New Year with your friends and family. Prizes are all re-gifts from the holidays so you can go home with something someone else doesn’t want to keep! The race champion is selected at random, so everyone has the opportunity to be a winner even if you haven’t run since being chased by that big dog down the street.

Volunteer!

Want to be part of the fun behind the scenes!?  Give us a call at 540-822-5788 or email  [email protected] to volunteer for a few hours before, during, or after an event (we ALWAYS need help with clean up).
