VDOT Road Maintenance Scheduled for November 17 – 19, 2021 to Address Storm Water Drainage!

Weather permitting, VDOT will be on E. Pennsylvania Avenue and S. Church November 17-19th to address storm water management. The scope of the maintenance includes re-digging of the ditching and cleaning/supportive maintenance to the storm water piping. The ditches are currently almost filled in due to natural erosion and limits the amount of runoff the ditch can handle. Each time there is a heavy rain, the corner of East Pennsylvania Ave and South Church St. becomes a large puddle due to the amount of runoff running down the road and the lack of proper ditching and piping to help carry that water to the proper storm water drain.
