Emergency Water Issue Fixed (01-21-12) A Fire Hydrant was hit by a vehicle in Town Friday evening causing a major water leak that dropped pressure throughout the Lovettsville service area. The Town isolated the damage and restored pressure to the system early Saturday morning. You may notice cloudy water or bursts of air as you use water over the next several days. This is normal after a loss of pressure, the water is safe and will clear up. |

New Water/Sewer Bill Design begins January 2012 The New water/sewer bill design replaces the postcard format the Town has used for many years. The new full sized bill allows the Town to more clearly display use and billing information, along with providing space on the back of the bill to explain the Town's paryment policies and procedures. Veterans Memorial Engraved Paver Program Buy an Engraved Paver to be installed at the Lovettsville Veterans Memorial! Honor your Veterans by purchasing an engraved paver. Each paver, including engraving and installation, costs $250.00. Complete the Engraved Paver Order Form and return to the Town Office with your payment. Engraved pavers will be installed in batches after the dedication ceremony. |

Town Hall Collection Point for Lovettsville Food Bank The Lovettsville Food Bank is reporting an immediate and urgent need for foodstuffs and toiletries for local citizens. In cooperation with the Lovettsville Lions Club, a collection box has been set up at Town Hall (6 East Pennsylvania Avenue). Contributions can be dropped off during normal business hours or immediately prior to evening meetings open to the public. While all nonperishable items will be put to good use, the Food Bank would particularly appreciate canned meats (tuna, chicken, beef, etc.), canned fruits, chunky soups, stews, chili, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pork 'n' beans, and jarred fruits, jams and jellies as well as toiletries such as toothpaste and toilet paper. |

Lovettsville Historic Property Inventory Historians completing the nomination application for getting the Town's historic areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register will be in Town on several days over the next two months documenting structures in the older part of Town. They will be taking photographs and notes, but will NOT be asking for access inside your homes. If you have any questions about this process please call Town Hall at 540-822-5788. |

Town Council Approves Bond Sale for Capital Projects The Lovettsville Town Council voted unanimously on Thursday, October 21, 2010 to participate in the VML/VACo Fall Bond Pool. The $2,000,000 in proceeds from the bond sale will allow the Town to complete the East Broad Way streetscape project that includes the construction of underground storm drainage, curb, gutter and sidewalk. Proceeds may also be used to fund other Town capital projects. |

County Board Unanimous Approves Lovettsville Community Park! The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the Special Exception for the Lovettsville Community Park at their Public Hearing meeting in July. This approval paves the way for construction plans and ultimate development of the 92 acre park. |

New Water and Sewer Rates Effective July 1, 2010 With the start of the new Fiscal Year, the new water and sewer rates are in effect. Water has increase from $5.80 to $6.10 per 1,000 gallons. Sewer has increased from $8.70 to $9.15 per 1,000 gallons. The new minimum water and sewer bill is $91.50 (up to 6,000 gallons per quarter). For a full list of rates and fees click here. |
