The Town of Lovettsville is located in northern Loudoun County, just two miles south of the Potomac River. Lovettsville has been a thriving small community since it was originally settled by German immigrants in the 1730s. Today, Lovettsville is known for its small town character, as it blends centuries of history with an exciting future.

National Night Out - Tuesday, August 3 The Town of Lovettsville, in cooperation with the Lovettsville Community Center, will celebrate National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 3rd, from 6 PM to 9PM at the Lovettsville Commuity Center, 57 East Broad Way. Congressman Frank Wolf, represnetatives from the the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, and members of the Lovetsville Fire and Rescue Complany will be in attendance to offer ways to help keep our neighborhoods safe and free from crime. The INOVA Loudoun Mobile Health Van will also be at the Center and the Lovettsville Lions Club will be serving food from 6 to 7:15 PM. Games, prizes, and presentations will take place prior to the opening of the pool. Swimming will be from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM. This is a free event! Please join us for an evening of fun, swimming, food and Ice Cream.

County Board Unanimous Approves Lovettsville Community Park! The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved the Special Exception for the Lovettsville Community Park at their Public Hearing meeting this past Monday night. This approval paves the way for construction plans and ultimate development of the 92 acre park.

Movie on the Green Friday, August 13 Bring your family and a blanket to the next movie of the summer series Friday night, August 13, with the showing of Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark. The movie will be shown in the Town Green (In the Town Center development -near the Town Square) at dusk and is FREE to the public. Snacks will be sold by the Community Center. The Town and Community Center are co-sponsoring the event. Come early to picnic on the lawn.

New Water and Sewer Rates Effective July 1, 2010 With the start of the new Fiscal Year, the new water and sewer rates are in effect. Water has increase from $5.80 to $6.10 per 1,000 gallons. Sewer has increased from $8.70 to $9.15 per 1,000 gallons. The new minimum water and sewer bill is $91.50 (up to 6,000 gallons per quarter). For a full list of rates and fees click here.

Oktoberfest Vendor Applications Oktoberfest is coming September 24-25, 2010. Vendor applications are currently being accepted – click here to download an application. The deadline for submission is August 2, 2010 . Direct any questions to oktoberfest@lovettsvilleva.gov.

Vehicle Decals - Do you have a GREEN sticker on your car? If you live in Lovettsville and do not yet have your green vehicle decal please stop by the Lovettsville Town Hall during business hours (9-3pm) to purchase one. For new residents, and new vehicles, the cost is $25.00 per car and $16.00 per motorcycle.
