Lovettsville has been a thriving small community since it was originally settled by German immigrants in the 1730s.  "Growing your Small Business" Networking Event, May 21, 2012 at 8:30 am

The Town of Lovettsville is hosting a free coffee & pastry networking event this Monday from 9 am to 11 am at the Lovettsville Community Center. (Registration begins at 8:30 am) Anyone who owns a business, or wants to start a business, is welcome to attend the event to hear from several CEOs, with companies located in Loudoun County, speak on how they formed their companies & learn more about what it takes to start or maintain a successful business.  Request for Bids to Demolish 8 E. Pennsylvania Avenue
The Town of Lovettsville is seeking bids to demolish the residential structure at 8 Pennsylvania Avenue as described in the bid package. Completed bid packages are due to the Town by 4:30 PM on June 13, 2012 in order to be considered.

Budget Public Hearing Scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:30pm
The Town Council will hold their Public Hearing on the Budget, Tax Rate & Fees along with the Capital Improvements Plan on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:30pm, before their regular meeting. 

 
MayFest - Saturday, May 26, 2012
Lovettsville's MayFest is an American hometown picnic featuring juried artisan booths, food vendors, live music, wine tasting, and other family-friendly activities including the Lovettsville Cornhole Tournament and an old-fashioned pie-eating contest. The festival will be held on the beautiful Lovettsville Town Green from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Click here for more information.

Veterans Memorial Engraved Paver Program
Buy an Engraved Paver to be installed at the Lovettsville Veterans Memorial! Honor your Veterans by purchasing an engraved paver. Each paver, including engraving and installation, costs $250.00. Complete the Engraved Paver Order Form and return to the Town Office with your payment. Engraved pavers will be installed in batches after the dedication ceremony.

 

Town Hall Collection Point for Lovettsville Food Bank
The Lovettsville Food Bank is reporting an immediate and urgent need for foodstuffs and toiletries for local citizens. In cooperation with the Lovettsville Lions Club, a collection box has been set up at Town Hall (6 East Pennsylvania Avenue). Contributions can be dropped off during normal business hours or immediately prior to evening meetings open to the public. While all nonperishable items will be put to good use, the Food Bank would particularly appreciate canned meats (tuna, chicken, beef, etc.), canned fruits, chunky soups, stews, chili, tomatoes, tomato sauce, pork 'n' beans, and jarred fruits, jams and jellies as well as toiletries such as toothpaste and toilet paper.

 

REMINDER: New Blue Decals Required to be on All Vehicles
Lovettsville residents who have not yet purchased a new blue decal for 2012 need to stop by Town Hall.  For more information please call the Town at 822-5788.
