Lovettsville Independence Day Celebration - Friday, July 3, 2009
The Lovettsville Community Center invites you to join them in celebrating Independence Day (a day early) in Lovettsville.  The Parade will begin at 5:30 PM at the Community Center and travel along East Broad Way to the Lovettsville Elementary School.  There will be family fun activities and refreshments at the Community Center beginning at 6:00 PM.  DC3 will provide live entertainment from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.  The fireworks will begin at 9:15 PM. Comprehensive Plan Public Input Session
The Lovettsville Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee will be hosting a public input session on the Comprehensive Plan Update.  The meeting will be held on July 29, 2009 at the Lovettsville Elementary School, beginning at 7:00p.m. 

The 2008 Water Quality Report is now Available
Click here to see this year's water quality report.  Again this year, Lovettsville has exceeded all of the State and Federal requirements for safety and purity.  The Town would like to thank Scott, Barry, Chris and the Loudoun Water team for another great year of quality water service.

“Movie on the Green” Season Continues Friday, July 10
Bring your family and a blanket to the third movie of the summer series Friday, July 10, 2009 for the showing of DUCK SOUP, the classic Marx Brothers film.  The movie will be shown in the Town Green (In the Town Center development -near the Town Square) and is FREE to the public.  The movie will start at dusk; activities begin at 8:00p.m.   Snacks will be sold by the Community Center.  The Town and Community Center are co-sponsoring the event.  Come early to picnic on the lawn. (Movies are the second Friday of every month –Rain location is the Lovettsville Community Center)

Town Treasurer Earns Distinguished Certification
Congratulations to Town Treasurer Lance Gladstone on earning his Master Governmental Treasurer certification!  This certification reflects a three year effort, involving coursework, exams and instructional training.  The program is jointly administered by the University of Virginia - Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and the Treasurers’ Association of Virginia for the purpose of professional development of treasurers throughout the Commonwealth.
